Metro-North Railroad will re-open the Hartsdale train station overpass for use in early May, several weeks earlier than anticipated.

Work on overpasses at the Tuckahoe and Scarsdale stations is progressing on schedule, with the Tuckahoe overpass scheduled to reopen in early March and the one in Scarsdale set to reopen later that month. Railroad spokeswoman Marjorie Anders said those overpasses may be ready a little earlier, too, but the contractor wasn't making any promises.

The Tuckahoe and Scarsdale overpasses closed in June and the Hartsdale overpass in August so contractors could remove lead paint, the concrete decks and steel roofs; replace deteriorated beams;and add new glass enclosures, roofs, floors, lights and canopied stairs.

Thanks for the news, but May is not considered early Spring.
