Greenbelt Test Track Work

it looks like they have added the turnout off the main tracks to connect with the Test Track. CSX has a flagman assigned there for a good stretch of track (presumably the entire length of parallel test track that will be built). This it to protect the project workers from passing CSX trains.

The contractor there is also apparently affiliated with the CSX National Gateway Virginia Avenue Tunnel project.

When I was out there the end of June the turnout parts were staged in the south short term parking lot.



The following weekend the contractor installed the third rail conduits

When I was out there in early August ties had been and were being delivered to the same parking lot.
