I might be going to Europe next year. I'm planning on taking the train from Glasgow to London. I found a site for the route. But I want to make sure I'm getting a ticket for that train.

There should be no difficulty about getting a ticket as there are frequent trains - about one an hour. I would get one at the ticket office in Glasgow Central. There is unlikely to be a queue.
You will note that there is no extra on the fare for riding the Pendolino. But do notice there is inflation going on and the fare may well be more next year. If you intend to travel on several trains it would be worth getting a rail card, for discounts of one third off.

I have been to Glasgow several times, though more often on the East Coast route to Edinburgh. On the West Coast route going south the most interesting part is the bit before Carlisle where it passes through mountainous country (low mountains).
