Frank J. Flynn

Frank J. Flynn, 82, of Glen Ridge, N.J., died on Saturday, May 1, 2010, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, N.J., on Wednesday at 9 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Mary's Church at the Newark Abbey, 528 Martin Luther King Blvd., Newark, N.J., at 10 a.m. Interment is at Holy Name Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Born in Scranton, Pa., Mr. Flynn lived in Hoboken, N.J., and the last 57 years in Glen Ridge. He was vice president of operations for N.J. Transit, Newark, retiring in 1991 after more than 40 years of service. Mr. Flynn was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the husband of Marilyn Oliver Flynn for 57 years; father of Patricia Flynn of Glen Ridge, and Marilyn Flynn and her husband, Joseph Dowd, of Bloomfield, and brother of Rosemary O'Neill of Florida, and the late James Flynn and Kathryn Wissig.
