i wonder if there is a shift in operating patterns on FGLK. Could the new schedule for NS H06 have an influence on HW2?

Today seemed like a normal a workday at Himrod. They left around 8:30 and arrived back after 4, except it was a run to Geneva. We'll see what happens tomorrow. BTW, NS is doing some track work on the Secondary somewhere north of Dundee (result of the recent geometry train?). Maybe that is affecting the FGLK daytime schedule temporarily. Don't know.

Schumer calls for extension of railroad tax credit

Food-packaging manufacturer Pactiv Corp. in Canandaigua and operators of more than 5,600 freight railroad cars would benefit if an expiring tax credit is extended, Sen. Charles Schumer said Thursday.

The Short Line Railroad Rehabilitation and Investment Act of 2013 is set to expire at the end of the year, potentially depriving Geneva-based Finger Lakes Railway of a tax credit valued at 50 percent of the cost to upgrade and maintain an 11.5-mile stretch of rail it wants to acquire, said Schumer, D-N.Y.

interesting considering that, that idiot was part of the problem in preventing the sale to begin with between NS and FGLK. Now that all them stored cars are gone out of the Penn Yan area must be he's decided to get his ugly head out of the way and let the sale continue?
