Anyone know when this unit was retired, as CR 5244 ?

It was still in service in November, 1976 as EL 1024 but showed up whitelined at Altoona JBS in Aug 1977 as CR 5244

Any disposition information appreciated

Sorry, can't help. I checked the list of RS-3 that got converted to "Dewitt Geep" RS-3m, and EL 1024 was ***NOT*** used in that program: as you probably already knew.
