ES44DC & SD70M-2?

Union Pacific has purchased numerous AC versions of Tier 2 GE and EMD locomotives, but are there any DC units in the future?

Side note: Union Pacific has over a thousand SD70Ms, but why no SD70MACs and/or SD75Ms?

If they feel they want DC units, I am sure they will buy them...

right now, they feel they need AC units

because when the SD75M was being made, UP was buying exclusively GE units and after the less than successful SD90, I bet they felt GE was the better AC locomotive
