Has anyone ever seen a COLOR photo of any of the four Lackawanna "streamstyled" pacifics?

I have the book "DL&W in color, volume 1"
and in that book there is a photo of a Pocono that states "this is the earliest known DL&W color photo" (or words to that effect)
taken in April 1939.

then, according to the book "the Merchants engines" the 4 pacifics kept their styling until around 1941 or 1942..
so the window for color photos of these engines is short, but SOMEONE must have taken some!

Do the morningsun books DL&W in color volumes 2 or 3 perhaps have any color photos of them?'
I dont have those books yet..

im considering building a model of one of them..
probably the colorized green 1123 , but I would also like to see a color photo of one of the black & chrome engines..

(very cool story in the book "the Merchants engines" about how the 1123 was UNofficially painted in the Elmira roundhouse!)

...Taber has a color plate but not a photo...and my mind cannot come up with another source...even Shelden King's is b&W. Try Cal's Classics if nothing else, er, developes.

If there was a sainthood in the rail fan industry, it would be for the Tabers. They captured so much of value to all of us.

No, I don't get a commission or royalty. My father was friends with Tom Tabor senior and I just barely remember him when I was quite young.

DL&W pacifics, with or without streamling, are awesome! I'd like to figure out how to get a print of the artwork of 1123 from the Taber book or Merchant Engines. I have never seen a pic of streamstyled 1123 pre red/green- anyone else?

Morning Sun's Lackawanna Railroad Trackside with Henry W. Peterson has three photos of 1123 in color. One of these might be the one mentioned. It says that 1123 was the only one to get the green paint of the 4 streamstyled Pacifics.
