I'm looking for information on the DL&W branches that ran to Utica and Oswsego, NY. I'm also wondering if any books exist that specifically focus on, or have information pertaining to these two branches. I'd also like to know what these branches were officially called during the years of DL&W operation. Thanks-81

In 2004, Central NY Chapter of NRHS published a 50ish page, amply illustrated paperback entitled "The Syracuse, Binghamton, & New York Railroad" (ISBN 0-9635319-2-1). Covers Binghamton to Syracuse/Oswego with a few references to the Utica branch. Check out their website: http://www.cnynrhs.org/store.html

The book entitled The Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad In The Twentieth Century by Thomas Townsend Taber and Thomas Townsend Taber III includes an entire chapter on the Upstate New York branch lines.
