Of course you guys are right. I just love riding trains, any trains. The cars were from back to front (heading to Doylestown): 410,455.456. I just want to know how much longer for the V's. Thank you.

That's a loaded question.

The IVs? At least six more years, considering their replacements are not yet in the capital budget. I'm sure there is some unofficial planning going on with lessons learned from the Silverliner V procurement, but if you add up the time to establish a project for replacement cars, develop specs, put it out to bid, mobilize forces at the winning bidder, and complete the order, I'd estimate that it's at least six years before you see significant Silverliner IV retirements, and probably closer to 10 years, which would make the IVs close to 50 years old at their retirement.

And this assumes that the capital budget is fully funded beginning next year.

First incident with a SLV?
The caption under one of the two photos said that photo was unrelated to the North Hills fatality. No clue what the passengers on that train were being removed for.

I'm at a loss as to where #738 is. Also, when is married pair 881/82 going to be finished and delivered?
Septa should tell us when this almost 3 year order is complete. I mean, really. :)
