I was watching a video of footage shot in Boston years back. It had a snazzy D&H diesel hauling an MBTA commuter train! I confess I don't know wnything about the D&H, and don't know the engine model. It was one of those neat long nose ones. Kato just came out with a model of it.

Anyhoo, mu question is how did a classic D&H engine in great shape end up in Boston like that? Maybe it wasn't an MBTA train? Maybe a through train? The video is from the Friends of Depot Park in Bedford MA.

In 1978, the T leased four PAs from the D&H (#16-19).

The NETransit site has a list of all of the vehicles the MBTA has ever had. Commuter rail equipement is at the end of the list.

Dude, does this video have real sound of the PA units especially at speed and blowing for crossings?

No, unfortunately.
