We are looking to clarify Conrail's SEOP and SELI freights that operated over the Hudson Line into New York City. SEOP is supposed to be Selkirk to Oak Point; SELI, Selkirk to Long Island (?). Where did SELI operate to on Long Island (Fresk Pond Jct?) and with what lines did it interchange? Were the correct terminals Selkirk, NY and Oak Point (in The Bronx)? Does anyone know ther dates with which they operated (apparantely they operated into CSX's ownership)?

Any information regarding routings, etc. would be appreciated.

Selkirk to Oak Point:

SEOP & OPSE

via CP-SK (across the Castleton Bridge) / CP-SM / HRCRR to CP-125 at Stuyvesant / Hudson Line to Mott Haven / around the Wye / Across the Harlem Line / Melrose / Port Morris Branch into Oak Point.

SELI / LISE (formerly LI-2 / NG-3)

via Hudson Line to CP-58 (Beacon) / Beacon Branch to Hopewell Jct. / Maybrook Line to Derby Jct. / Devon / Shore Line to New Rochelle / Hell Gate Branch to Pelham Bay / Freight Main to Market (Oak Point) / Oak / over the Hell Gate Bridge to Freemont / Fresh Pond (LIRR interchnage).

Freemont was the CR facility on the NH elevation; Fresh Pond was the LIRR facility.

(Hudson Div. seniority district crews in interdivisional service.)

Later, as traffic declined, same as SEOP / OPSE and OP Yard jobs made the transfer run to Freemont.
