Subfreezing temperatures took their toll on all three Metro-North Railroad lines yesterday.
A rail at 112th Street broke during the morning rush hour, sending signals to all trains in the area to stop at 7:26 a.m. With one of four tracks out of service, 54 of 132 trains on the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines were late, Metro-North spokesman Dan Brucker said. Forty-two trains were six to 10 minutes late, six trains were 11 to 15 minutes late, and six trains were 16 to 30 minutes late, he said.
