Who actually owns the trackage leading into the quarry near Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater? I know NJT runs a ballast train at night, but do they own the track as well?
I am not 100% sure, but I believe it is owned by NJT thru some old deal with ConRail. The quarry and Somerville lumber are the only customers, and NJT needs to get to the quarry.
Also, I have seen NJT signalmen test and repair the Route 22 crossing.
