Chicago & North Western C40-8 8575 has now been patched to Union Pacific 9087. That leaves C44-9Ws 8646 and 8701 as the last CNW patch escapees.

Luckly, I saw this engine at Elmhurst before it was patched. Too bad UP had to patch it. There is some good news, however, 8701 was released for NLR Jenks without a patch and is heading to Memphis.

Someone from NS decided to paint over the UP patch under the cab and put NS style numbers that say 8575 over it. The same person also switched the numberboards to NS style with 8575 on them. Here is a photo. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... ?id=544291

I saw a cool CNW "Operation Lifesaver" unit at Albina Yard in Portland this morning. It was patched but nonetheless unusual for this neck of the woods.
