I don't know if anybody cares about this info but just came across some dates. I'll put them out there in case somebody wants to know, either now or years down the road. These are dates for the transfer cabooses made from boxcar frames in the mid 1960's, and are the date the caboose arrived in Rochester's Goodman Street yard on the traveling switcher which brought them in from Despatch Shops where they were built.

18176 06-07-67
18177 06-07-67 Went back to Despatch 07-28-68 for fire repair
18178 06-07-67
18185 12-01-67
18186 12-03-67
18187 12-05-67
18188 12-07-67
18189 12-16-67
18190 12-16-67
18191 12-16-67
18192 12-16-67

Somewhere I believe I have more, but those may be PC. If I come across them I'll post those too.

And a few more.

April 5th, 1967 the local brought in 4 new cabooses for the Detroit Terminal Railroad, DTR 39, 40, 41 and 42. Presumable they were the same type as the ones being built for NYC.

April 8th saw NYC 18113 and 18114 departing Despatch.

Somewhere I believe I have info on a caboose built for Central Indiana Ry, a line which was the subject of a Classic Trains article in the Spring 2013 issue. I'll keep digging.

Some of these cars survived into Conrail.

146 cars 18006-18194 ex PC/NYC 18006-18194.
Transfer type, large end platforms, no bays or cupola. These cars were built from old 40' boxcars by the NYC in the 1960s, the build dates of 1942 to 1945 are the dates the the original boxcars were constructed. Data indicates that these cars may have been built with wooden end platforms later changed to an open grating like a metal running board. These cars were originally equipped with running boards, later removed.
