BNSF appreciates the help that our 9000 members of Citizens for Rail Security have been to us.

All those eyes focused on BNSF trains as we move through your cities and countryside have provided us with information we need to keep all Americans safe. But you, as informed observers see not only trespassing dangers and suspicious behavior, but also thousands and thousands of pieces of railroad equipment and merchandise going to market.

What if you spotted something else that just did not look right?

· Sparks visible day or night?
· Trailers that appear to lean severely to one side?
· Smoke?
· Loose or dragging banding material on open shipments?
· Open trailer doors?

These may be signs that a shipment could be in trouble or signal the onset of an accident. As with security issues your participation, would be, as they say in the television commercials – PRICELESS. BNSF welcomes your continued help in keeping the Railroad Industry workers and the American public safe and secure.

Report possible mechanical problems to the BNSF Resource Operations Center at 800-832-5452.
