BAR Woodchip hoppers in Beacon Park?

Saw a string of these sitting on the track to Romar today. They appeared to be converted bulkhead flats. What would they be doing in Boston?

Got a closer look today. They all have NYSW reporting marks.

I think they are getting scrapped over at Schnitzer in Everett.

I've been seeing them sitting in the valley falls yard in cumberland too on the P&W line... I had a similar post on another site about these cars,,, I heard they were converted bulkheads now in trash service... I'd love to know what's really going on with them ashowing up latley... -Pat
