Can anyone tell me how this station got its name? Also, was there ever an actual station building at this location?

Thanks

Ballardvale is a section of Andover. I'm pretty sure it has looked the same for the last thirty years.

The old station is now a private home. It is a little way up the street, 90 degrees to the street.

A quick Google search reveals it was named after the Ballard Vale Manufacturing Company, a wool maker.
