Hi,

Now you got me wound up on the Sunnyside Yards.

These yards were my hangout for many years. And over those years I saw the world's largest Passenger Train Yard reduced in size tremendously. I saw tracks ripped out and just dirt ground left, supposedly for housing developments or factories. That land is worth a fortune. It is rather hard to start walking around where there once were many, many tracks, switches galore, only to see empty land. Needless to say, those living in the high rise tenements and private homes were delighted. Of course, all they had to do was to look at Queens Blvd. at the Elevated Subway system there, and they have all their beloved noise back.
