Yes it happened around 445 which is tough to get to but not impossible), not near Elm Street in Hoosick Falls as stated here...

Any word if there was any damage to the switch(es)?

Why were the alternating flashing ditch lights turned off at Buckland, but both on full steady in the last scene at Zoar?

Looks like they were off in Buckland, and the dynamics are working pretty hard, if they were going to or had a meet they would turn them off. If they didn't, no idea...
