Amtrak Washington Union Station problems

Today at 2050 a check to which today is Sunday so no VRE or MARC. None of of the LD trains southbound were able to make their scheduled turns. That is 19, 51. 91, 147 all took more than their allocated times. That is not a good sign. Only regionals 87 and 99 made turn times. Northbound trains all originating OT and thru were all OK except 194 was over by 4 minutes. ( was already late arriving.

79 Carolinian was also delayed. Amtrak Alerts Twitter said "equipment issues"... which probably meant "This engine isn't working, get the spare from the yard."

Wolf" Thanks about 79. Makes one wonder what will happen 8 days from now when all east coast trains will be operating daily.
