Great find. Fascinating read. They really did make a significant number of drastic improvements at that time. The high-level platforms and quarter-point door designs of the cars really changed commuting drastically. Brought subway like efficiency to the commuter railroads.

Excellent photos throughout, too. Too bad it cannot be downloaded in its entirety without some kind of login.

interesting read, specially the numbers, like west of hudson only 6 trains daily, or ridership east of Hudson only like 36 000 per day and a whopping 168 train radio's installed .
