Mine is F40C 607. Described as the best F40C of the fleet, 607 was a great engine with a great horn. I won't foget the some 6-7 times I saw the engine and just said,"Wow." She was always clean and sprarkly, least when I saw it. 607 is now on KCS, but it's Metra spirit will live on. I salute 607 as my favorite Metra locomotive. BTW, second would be 211.

As an engineer on the Rock, I am glad we have the least amount of 400's. 4 is even too much. Now if we could trade the 200's for 100's, the Rock would be a perfect place.

By the way bring back the 8200's. I wouldn't shed a tear for the loss of 84/8500's.

Well, I personally don't mind 'em at all. Like I've said, standard horn valves and K5LA's that are in-toon would be nice, but I wouldn't mind an NCP5 on an MP36.

Bones, just out of curiousity, why do you, as an engineer, prefer the 8200's?
