Question: I know Woodlawn tower had control of Mt. Vernon on the Harlem Division. Did Woodlawn tower control signals and switches at Crestwood also?

Yes, at one time Crestwood was controlled by Woodlawn. I would have
to pull the timetables from various dates to establish the period when
this took place but the New York Central during the 1960's did away with
the operator at Crestwood and set it up to be controlled by Woodlawn.
I will someday in the future try to determine just how long that lasted but
by the time I started working that line in the early 1980's it was controlled
by the dispatcher directly.

Yes, I remember now that there was a small control machine just for Crestwood, placed on top of the Woodlawn machine; evidently and add-on. This would be around '68-'72.
