Few details coupled with a lack of familiarization with aspects railroading:
* "...one of the engineers..." (Note to insidenova: Engineers aren't the only crew members on trains, there's typically only one per train, and it's very unlikely the engineer would leave his locomotive to perform the duty of the brakeman or conductor.)
* "It’s unclear whether it was a passenger or freight train involved." (It wasn't obvious?)
