To facilitate the demolition and construction of a new platform canopy at Rockville station (Red line), Metro will close the Rockville and Shady Grove stations from Sept. 11, 2021 until Dec. 4. Rockville station will receive many of the improvements that other stations have received as part of the Platform Improvement Project, such as the new PIDs.
