Does anyone know when the last passenger trains ran to Wilkes Barre and if the passenger station was shared with any other passenger carriers? Was it ever cut back to Binghampton and was that station ever shared with other passenger carriers? Thank You

I don't know when Wilkes-Barre passenger service ended, but the D&H, along with the PRR, used the Lehigh Valley's station in Wilkes-Barre. At one time, the Lehigh Valley used to list D&H connections to Scranton in the Official Guide.

The last D&H passenger service in Wilkes-Barre was commuter service between there and Scranton and Carbondale. It did not survive past 1950 in Wilkes-Barre. It continued to run between Scranton and Carbondale a little longer. Power used were 500 series 4-6-0's.
The LV station in Wilkes-Barre was a "union" station as it was used by the D&H and PRR as well as the LV.
