Are the employee timetables, most dated November 5, 1967 and numbered 22, the last ones before PC? The New York District (G.C. Terminal Division and Hudson Division) is dated October 29, 1967 and contains a section of special schedules "effective 1:01 P.M. to 7:16 P.M. Friday only December 22 and 29, 1967."

I got a Time Table for the Auburn Div. with the same dates on it. The Auburn Station closed long befor it would have gone into uses. Puting it under Penn Central. Still the book was found on the floor and is weathered form the dirt and dust it never saw any use.

Are you referring to the Auburn Branch (Syracuse Division) known for decades as the Auburn Road? Although the branch was still called the Auburn Road in the Eastern District timetable of this date (Nov. 22, 1967), the line had lost its through status at some time prior to this, having been truncated west of Victor.

Yup I'm talking about the Auburn Road. I live in Auburn, NY My father was in the old Station many years ago when he was a young boy the Penn Central had just formed and the station closed in the late 50's. He recovered the old Station Time Table which he found laying in a puddle of water on the floor he managed to save it and dry it off much to my suprise none of the pages were damaged and no ink ran only the cover shows a water mark. The dates on the book were revised in January 1965 and all the rules were to go into affect in April of 1965 the next Revise date was set for 1967. As it would be this Timetable never saw any use in the PC Years. When I asked my father about the condtion of the station at that time he told me that the inside had been trashed. Tickit stubes were scattered about the floor many going back 5 years or more they looked to be stubs that had fallen between the walls and scattered about the floor. Much of the original equipment used by the railroad such as chairs, tables desks, brooms, lanturns, and many outher things used by the the NYCS were still left scattered about the buildings floor broken and rusting away all of this stuff was lost when the station was riped down later that year. The plat form covers stood till the late 80s when Conrail removed them. The Railroad Club that I belong to has the Original Cast Iron 400lb Auburn Sign that once hung on that platform.

So went the contents of many fine old stations, not to mention the stations themselves. Glad something was saved from there!

I still have that book just have to find it. I also managed to buy back the orgial lock and Key that used to keep the Fraght Door Closed on the old Lehigh Valley Station closed after the station was puled down the lock was moved to the Round House I baught the lock from the owner befor it was sold to its new owner. That old LVRR Rouldhouse has passed threw about 15 owners sents the Lehigh went under in 1976.
