The Canadian? The Chaleur? The Ocean? The Corridor? Any other? What VIA Rail train have you ever go in, no matter how long/short your trip was.
As for myself, I've only taken 2 different trains, the Northen Quebec and the Ocean, to be more Specific, I went form Shawinigan to Weymont (great scenery after La Tuque, BTW) and From harny to Moncton (The scenery was great too) Both on comfort class.
I'd also like you to give me your opinion on the trains you took (scenery, if the train was comfortable, if the train crew was nice, have you met anyone in the train)
The Northen Quebec one... I took taht one at least 15 times, mostly from/to Shawinigan to Weymon, although I went a few times to Casey as well. MANY (if not all) people who get on in Shawinigan get off either at La Tuque, or Weymont since all these three city are popular among aboriginal people (Well, Weymont IS an aboriginal village. Crew is very friendly, and I noticed that they seem to know quite a few people in the train (most probaly regulars) I almost always end up in a conversation with someone I do not know, and very often, the conversation is fun and interresting.
The Ocean, I only took this one twice (to go from and to Charny and Moncton) The scenery was better than the Northen Quebec one (althouigh the Northen quebec's scenery is hard to beat in winter) however, i felt like the crew was much less friendly (although still very friendly, just not as much as the northen quebec ) Also, and probably because it got less ''regulars'' people were more ''every man for himself'' as I didn't hear much ppeople talking, even when people were sharing a seat. I may have complained about the train crew, but I have two special mentions, though. The waiter with the acadian accent in the dinner car (if you took the train around may 2009 and went to eat at the dinner car, you may have met him) and the guy who helped people get off the train in Moncton, which both were the nicest people I've met (in a train)
