Track Work on the PanAm Railroad

Please be advised that the MBTA will be doing a track work project at Shirley, MA, that will affect train operations on the PanAm RR West of Ayer, MA on Saturday November 16th and Sunday November 17th. Customer freight on the following trains into and out of Ayer will be delayed as noted below:

22K-15 (Chicago to Ayer) - 24 hour delay; Loads should be available by 5:00am Monday November 18th.

206-15 (Chicago/Toledo to Ayer) – 36 hour delay; Loads should be available by 5:00pm Monday November 18th.

22K-16 (Chicago to Ayer) - 12 hour delay; Loads should be available by 5:00pm Monday November 18th.

206-16 (Toledo to Ayer) – will not carry any loads from Toledo. Traffic will hold at origin for 24 hours and be loaded on train 206-17.

23K-17 (Ayer to Chicago) – train will be annulled.

23K-18 (Ayer to Chicago) – 12 hour delay; will depart Ayer Sunday evening November 17th.

23K-19 (Ayer to Chicago) – 8 hour delay; will depart Ayer Monday afternoon November 18th.

I05-20 (Ayer to Chicago) will run from Ayer Monday night November 18th with any remaining customer freight that was held from 23K-19.

Culvert replacement between Slab City and Center Road has both track obstructed. Surprising Pan Am is not taking advantage of the track closure to under cut the #1 track under Main Street in Ayer.
