What ever became of SMS loco from South America?

I've talked to a few SMS employees, they have paid for it .
(Argentine RF-615e cab unit) The unit is in rough shape, will need all its hardware inside the cab. This won't be moved anytime real soon.

OK, stupid question here (I'm from the Midwest, not very knowledgeable about the SMS, other than its location and that it has an entire roster of Baldwin units), why would SMS want to aquire said export locomotive? Are they going to put it in service or is it going to sit next to a depot/shop/yard on display? Just currious.
