The accident was in Westfield, MA and not Westford, MA. While CSX engines do appear on GRS at Westford quite often, it's not clear they could be going fast enough on Guilfie track to destroy an 18 wheeler as shown here. Apparently, the truck driver survived.

Great pictures but in my opinion POOR description of accident. That is not a heavily damaged engine. Just a couple of ditch lights out and the cow catcher bent a little. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A ENGINE WITH MAJOR DAMAGE? It don't look like that picture thats for sure. I saw a picture taken the other day in the Atlanta yard (on a camera phone) where a train got shoved into a engine at 4mph and it opened up the WHOLE SIDE OF A SD 70 completely -on the engineers side----there was a 6 foot hole in the side. Not a couple of ditch light's knocked off. Hell, you hit a few big deer doing 50 mph it will bend the grab irons on the front and damage a few lights. :-D
