Anybody have any info on the Watertown & Carthage Traction Co.? It was in the "100 years ago" section of the newspaper. Here's every bit of information I can find on the Intarwebs:

June 8, 1901, NYTimes notice that the railroad was incorporated.
April 2, 1909: Traction facilities between Watertown and Carthage having a spur to Pine Plains will be provided before the winter of 1909-10 sets in if the bill introduced in the Senate becomes a law. This was declared by attorney Floud L. Carlisle, who is nedeavoring to have the legislature extend the franchise of the Watertown & Carthage Traction Co.
May 29 1909, NYS law extending the time to complete the road.

Russ, I don't know if it ever got beyond the planning stage, but wasn't the Black River Traction already sorta there? Or did it just go the other direction?
A Watertown Newspaper article of the day, seemed to suggest a conflict with the W&C, plans for the BRT to extend to Carthage, and political 'leanings' against the W&C.
