While I am aware of the history and life of the now-gone
Washington & Old Dominion Railroad, does anyone know
if when it was abanndoned in 1968 and taken up if any of
the rails remain anywhere along the line that might be
visible? I Know that a lot was paved over for the rail-trail,
but always wondered if maybe a short spur, siding or old
industgrial track might survive in the weeds somewhere.

Any old-timers out there know anything?

Many times when RRs are taken up, provate trackage will
remain as it is not property of the RR or even just plain
forgotten.

Thanks.
