Is there any benefits from having that type of signal rule on a track? The only thing I can think of is less wayside signals to maintain. Also. Could it be dangerous? Like say if they train is in a spot where there isn't any way side signals and the cab signal is showing clear and it shoud be approach.

maintainance/reliability. Less equipment to maintian, no signal lamps to burn out. Cab signals give the same information as the wayside automatic signals, and then some, since they can upgrade/downgrade at any time.

And there's nothing inherently dangerous with 562, as long as the signal system is designed properly (but that can be said of any signal system, not just 562). Your hypothetical situation is a false-clear and should never happen in a fail-safe signal system. It's the same as saying 'what if this wayside signal displays clear when it should be approach?'
