Believe the 3-1/2 week drought is due to the fact that crews are re-configuring the Amtrak - NS connection at PHIL interlocking. Switches were removed and some added.
Would anyone know the "end purpose" and what the final configuration will be.

There are some switches that were made redundant in Phil when Conrail single tracked the Arsenal connection buy linking up to the CSX Phila. Sub. several year ago. Amtrak is finally getting around to removing
the unused track and switches.

AmtkHogger,
What time do you usually go by Prospect Park Sta.??? NS usually runs it's trains between BELL and PHIL between 1am-4:30am.I live in Ridley Park(600ft. from the station)so I hear all the movements on 160.920(54/54) and the Stoney Creek/Chester Sec. trains on 160.860(50/50).
Southbound freights to Edgemoor(Coal trains/Stone train) usually come out of PHIL between 10pm-1am.That includes the southbound H-86 to Stoney Creek. That train comes back North between 1am-3am.

Cheers,
Bri

I came through Prospect Park around 1150p on Sunday night on 66. However, I am not the regular man on the job, rather I just had the hold down for the week (while the regular guy was on vacation.)
