Please note that these are NOT "pure" Alcos. They hav been rebuilt with"Cat" engines.
Did all the RS-18's get rebuilt this way or is there any "pure" RS-18's left ?

No, none of the remaining RS-18s are 'pure Alco'. The units in question are the ex-BCRail RS-18C (CRS-20) with CAT 3516 power and KATO generators. I still think it would be neat to repower one with a 12-251. They are about as up to date as a RS-18 could be otherwise.
