Amtrak’s LRC coach train ran on the International between Toronto and CHI. They never ran on the NEC.

DM and ER: Amtrak DID run their limited LRC fleet (two locomotives and 10 cars) on the NEC back in
the first half of the 1980s. They primarily were used on trains such as the Bunker Hill which ran NHV-
BOS being a good example. This equipment was sent south at least once to Washington for display.

Later in the 80s the set was then used in the Amtrak equipment pool for the International as we do
know. One spotting feature of the 10 cars is they had two-pane windows. This stood out after the
10 cars were conveyed to VIA at some point in the 90s.

The original Amtrak LRC color scheme was white with a variation of the Phase 3 striping which was
somewhat similar to what was used on the Rohr Turboliners during that same time period.
