The February 1968 Official Guide shows the New York headquarters at 120 Broadway; by August 1971 the headquarters functions had been moved to Omaha and there was no New York address other than an off-line sales office typical of any Western railroad. In 1986 Drew Lewis became President and CEO of the Union Pacific Corporation, succeeding the Omaha-based John Kenefick, and became Chairman in 1987, remaining as such until 1997. During this period he established a Bethlehem headquarters near his home, apparently because he wanted a headquarters in the East and placing it in Bethlehem would save him a long commute to New York. If someone can find a Guide from that period it might be interesting to know just where it was. (Or the Union Pacific tech society in Omaha may know.)

Yes, that is the Harriman family. I’d have to check closer, but I believe the family still has a nice chunk of the Road.
