In light of the fact that the road freight between Lakeville and Rochester many times has 3 engines, is there any chance that a couple of the 6 axle units will move from the WNYP to the LA&L? One 6 axle unit could possibly run with a small consist or it could be teamed with a 4 axle on heavier trains. Is A 2 for 3 swap possible?

The option to run six axle cars largely depends on the track curvature, especially in customer tracks. If one was assigned, but could not serve certain customers, then a four axle would be needed. The small size of LA&L probably doesn't make it worthwhile. Maybe one of the parts units could be cut down as a slug, once most of the usable parts have been harvested. They would have the tractive effort of a six axle, but be able to get into tight place. There would be a definite fuel savings over using a three unit consist.
