1061 update from suburban Chicago: Continuing its journey east 4th out behind two CN units, and UP leader 6837 on a short manifest towards a CSX connection in Chicago via the IHB railroad. I'd look for it in Boston early next week...

Might take a little longer than that. The entire delivery from Waybill to Rochester takes about 3-4 weeks. The BRC is super slow in Chicago so it’ll probably sit around a whole lot there.

Ain't necessarily so. Most class 1's coming through Chicago have other locations for transfers and hand offs that don't involve BRC or it's yard at Clearing. For UP and CSX, this occurs just outside the city limits at a junction where both roads cross each other, and after a crew change within a matter of hours, off they go.

With the massive amount of freight traffic coming through here daily, delays are a fact of life around here, no doubt. But if the delivery of the rebuilds is taking several weeks, those engines could be sitting around at other points en route...

More than likely 1032 was probably the engine that they worked the bugs out of compared to 1050 and 1054.

Just received word that 1061 will be on Q436 tonight as expected. Subject to change but it should be on B725 leaving on Monday out of Framingham. Expect it to be in Rochester within a week.
