Southern Railroad of NJ is extensively renovating the track on the Pleasantville Line. A.E. Stone will soon be receiving stone shipments through a newly developed Street Crossing on Washington Ave near the Egg Harbor Township and Pleasantville Line. Will this line anytime soon get the Passenger Shuttle that would greatly benefit the Convention Center in Atlantic City. Beyond Shore Mall track had been in place but was torn up for bike path. Since then all sorts of housing developments have cropped up along the R.O.W. perhaps some consideration will be made for this plan.................The Tracks are paved over on US 40-322 and need to be extended slightly in the Shore Mall area. It also looks like it could accomodate both the bike path and trackage to go Westward eventually towards the Mays Landing Area

NJ Transit does have plans for this service on the books... but just some rough outlines of station locations, conceptual schedules and the like as far as I know.

The CRDA has powers of eminent domain and can seize quite a few of those blighted motels in West Atlantic City. Would be a great place for a park and ride station. Accross the Highway is an office complex newer motels and a large Condo Complex now under construction...............Developing this line will have to a partnership with several government agencies and private business. Southern Railroad of NJ would benefit with the shared maintenance costs. Stations at this time could be Shore Mall. Pleasantville Bus Terminal and a West Atlantic City Stop.........
