Did the PRR operate the Budd 24-8 Slumbercoaches?

The Pennsylvania Railroad never owned any Slumbercoaches, Budd or otherwise. But they did handle a few in the 60's in the South Wind. The cars were borrowed from several western railroads (e.g., Northern Pacific) in their "off-season" and run between Chicago and Florida for the winter trade.

The borrowed cars remained in their home-road paint scheme during the swap....

Thanks for the information, I also know the PRR used IC Domes in the Southwind also.

I did find a listing today for what railroads owned the 24-8's and appreciate your answer to use one of these in my model PRR consist.
