RDGAndrew is correct - the New Hope line is ex RDG. The station, still in use by the New Hope and Ivyland RR, is RDG-style. The NH&I even has Reading coaches in their consist.

At one time, the NH&I met with a 16-passenger bus from its western end near Lahaska that would take you into Lahaska and return. Made a great way to spend a day - two train rides and shopping in Lahaska. Would that they would bring it back.

When they first built the New Hope line there were plans to connect to the PRR`s BelDel on the NJ. side of the river . They built bridge embutments ,but never built the connetion track . Now lets get back on track, ok? its prr were talking about on the thred.

Just curious - not to stay off topic - but where were the bridge abutments built?
