-One of the striking features of photos of the MP54 Mu cars is the big headlight box. I would like to know more about the lights. I have read that prior to 1910, a lot of locomotives were still using oil lamps. So --
-when were electric lights first put on the P54 MU cars? Were these innovative?

-what type of lights were they any info on size, type of lamp, bulbs, arc etc? Voltage and wattage? Who manufactured the lamps?

-I assume they were effective, since they stayed on PRR trains for so many years.

-Thanks for any data or references
