PC Covered Hoppers pop up a lot in the Geneva Area all the time too I counted 4 last summer marked with both PC and CR marks and logos but reporting marks were RFMX?? I think.

Open hopper, covered hopper, ? By the end of CR there weren't a ton left, some open hoppers and some small covered hoppers in company sand service, but once in a while you'd see something like a car I saw that the CR brown paint had some off to reveal Penn Central lettering and logo - and enough more paint had come off to reveal a PRR keystone logo, too.

You'd be hard pressed in 2009 to find even ONE PC H-43-D hopper.
When CR was buidling the "Bathtub" Hoppers out in Hollidaysburg they used xPRR H-43,A,B & C hoppers as well as PC H-43-D hopps.
I haven't seen a "pure" H-43-D in at least 15-20 years.

I beleve that the only pure PC Cars left besides Gondolas here and there are Ballast Hoppers seem to pop up every now and then.

For what it's worth, I checked the January 2007 Official Railway Equipment Register (that's the latest one I have).

Norfolk Southern kept the PC reporting marks.

There were only 20 cars shown in revenue service in that ORER: two boxcars and 18 gondolas (8 G45's, 9 G45a's and 1 G46).

Now, that's revenue service only; company service (MOW) normally isn't listed in the ORER and as we know there's no limit to how old they can be, or how long it's been since those cars have seen fresh paint.

Last year I saw 2 really well kept PC G-45's on CSX.They were lettered "NYC" since all the xCR cars that went to CSX have the "NYC" donation.
There's stil a few G-44-A gons running around in PC colors and even a few PC H-34 "Yellow" Ballast Hoppers. But seeing any of these cars is extremely rare.
Here's some shot's of surviving PC gons from the CRHS site:

2 PC Hoppers poped up in the Geneva-Solvay train on the FGLK one went East early in the day and a diffrent one went West later in the day. Both were lettered with RFMX reporting Marks.
