I hope I'm posting this in the correct thread topic but, I came across an article from 1942 that discussed the conversion from oil to coal for the steam plant at Parkchester in the Bronx. In the article it states that the plan includes a rail siding for oil and coal delivery across the street through a tunnel under the street. Does anyone know if this ever happened? I'm only curious because I worked at the steam plant for 12 years and there are no signs of rail delivery. TIA
