I worked on this car in the late 70's but have no idea if it ever sold. I remember it was a very basic car with hard bench seating and ABD brake equipment. The trucks were a P-III type with WABCOPAK brake beams. The idea was to market it to developing countries as a kit to be built on sight by local labor thereby reducing the cost of a ready built car.

Sorry, I don't know the answer, but here's a related question:
I think British Rail Engineering Limited had a similar idea, also in (I think) the 1970s: a cheap (and probably nasty(Grin!)) passenger coach design aimed at the (Third World) export market. I don't **recall** it as having been a great market success, but I haven't followed the world railway supply market closely enough to be confident I didn't miss some sales.

I had to look up what you were talking about. It looks like a cattle car made of stainless. As best as I can find none were ever sold but I'm not the passenger car heavy in the family. I'll ask the other D.Carleton when I see him. Meanwhile there are these:
