Re. HATX only operating in East.
May 5th 2005 I saw a pair of GP-40 HATX804 and 805 operating at Antonito CO on what I gather is the San Luis Rio Grande shortline.
Seems I cannot upload picture .. sorry :-)

The CBNS has been using four HLCX SD40-2's for about a year now as well as three LLPX GP15's and two LLPX GP38-2's.

LLPX is Locomotive Leasing Partners I think they mostley lease small 4 Axle units but like any leaser they more than likley got a few bigger units by now.

. . was sold by GM to GATX Capital in December of 2004 as a condition of the new EMD ownership. It is safe to assume that they now also the own rights to the LLPX designator. Locomotive Leasing Partners ceased to be a business with that sale.
